Conventional winch hooks will cut and damage recovery straps, and in other cases the strap end can escape during slack cycles of a typical winch recovery. The Factor 55 FlatLink from Snake Racing doesn't require any splicing and is compatible with steel cable or synthetic rope up to 3/8 inches in diameter, and has been designed to accept the most common 4.75t bow shackle.
The Factor 55 FlatLink Shackle Mount is the industries first folding shackle mount for winching recoveries. Designed to eliminate your conventional winch hook, the FlatLink replaces the hook with a safer and stronger design, that is practical to use with both roller and hawse fairleads thanks to the 1.75 inch thick design.
The cable eye is retained in the FlatLink by a 5/8 inch diameter grade 5 steel double shear pin and internal snap ring, which means installation takes only minutes. A rubber guard protects alloy fairleads and they are also securely attached to the FlatLink with four barbed tips.
Proudly made in the USA, the FlatLink is manufactured from 6000 Series billet aluminum and is available in a choice of anodized colours.
