Steering shaft extensions are designed to fill the gap in the steering column, created after raising the body off the chassis. This is one area that requires careful attention, if your 4WD is going to remain safe to use both on and off road.
While some older models may get away without the use of a Steering Shaft Spacer, nearly all later model vehicles will require a steering shaft extension after fitting a body lift.
